Since 2011, our Brisbane-based psychiatrists and psychologists have been providing face to face and telehealth consults to Brisbane and regional areas, respectively.
Whether you live in Brisbane or in a regional area, to make an appointment, you need to see your GP to obtain a referral or a Mental Health Care Plan to see one of our Brisbane-based psychiatrists or psychologists, respectively.
At Takes Care Specialist Centre, our psychiatrists and psychologists are proud of the level of excellence and experience brought to each therapeutic session. In addition to having an in-depth knowledge of mental health specialist areas, our psychiatrists can identify possible medical and pharmacological pathways to recovery. Our psychologists, on the other hand, are experienced in identifying the possible cause and contributing factors to the mental health symptoms and whilst engaging with you to find your specific pathway to your psychological health and wellbeing.
Each session is client-centred in a friendly and relaxing environment, where utmost effort is made to make everyone feel safe and valued. We have a comprehensive range of services available for our clients, including:

Face-To-Face

Telehealth
We offer convenient and comfortable telephone or online therapy sessions through SKYPE. If you’re interested in a telehealth counselling appointment, call us today.
Home Visits
For patients who have a disability that interferes in their ability to utilise public transport, we offer home-visit counselling services. Available in the Brisbane area only.
NDIS
Takes Care Specialist Centre is a registered provider for the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Call us for more information on if you’re eligible for this service.

Get a referral to see a psychologist
To be able to claim a Medicare rebate you will need to speak to your GP to refer you to a psychologist. Once you have initiated your Mental Health Treatment Plan you can claim a rebate from Medicare for up to 10 appointments with a clinical psychologist. Mention this in your initial call and we can guide you in this process.

We proudly serve not only the surrounding suburbs of Coorparoo, Camp Hill, Morningside, and Carina but also receive referrals from various Brisbane suburbs, including Albion and Kedron. Through telehealth, we extend our psychology services to rural areas in QLD, NSW, and Victoria, ensuring that distance doesn’t hinder your access to quality care.
