Takes Care Specialist Centre Therapy Dog

To assist every psychiatry patient, psychology client and NDIS participant, who visits Takes Care Specialist Centre feel at ease and less stressed, Balloo, our new therapy dog in training has been added to our team.

Balloo is an adorable miniature labradoodle (mix of Labrador and Poodle), who joined us earlier in May of 2021, when he was only 9 weeks old. From the beginning, he took a great liking to everyone that walked through our doors, showering them with his affections and making them feel comfortable and easy.

Balloo, Our Pet Therapy Dog

Balloo is still very young and has a way to go, before becoming a certified therapy dog. As the pictures show, he has just graduated from his first round of puppy school. Nevertheless, he has been very effective in reducing anxiety, lifting spirits, and comforting our patients. He will also be going through more puppy school training and then therapy training as well.

Currently, he is only available for 2 days a week. If you are interested to have him with you at your appointment, please do not hesitate to let our friend admin staff know.
