Enhancing Mental Health Support through Ancillary Services
Our other Specialists play a crucial role in supporting our Psychologists and Psychiatrists in providing comprehensive mental health care to our patients. Through a range of ancillary services, we aim to enhance the overall well-being and recovery of individuals seeking support.
Sam is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who specialises in using exercise and movement to help individuals to take control and live fulfilled and meaningful lives. Sam believes that the best healthcare is that formed out of compassion and trust and strives to provide his clients the best possible care. Sam has a special interest in using his skills to help people experiencing persistent/chronic pain, mental health challenges and musculoskeletal injury.
With being involved in activities, such as hiking, weightlifting, or playing chess, you will find Sam lives by the same values with which he encourages his clients.
At Takes care Specialist centre, Victoria Jones, has in-depth clinical experience in managing and treating adults who have acquired language, speech, voice and/or swallowing disorders.
This includes working with people under the following condition:
- Helping people with post a neurological event such as a stroke, traumatic brain injury, brain tumors or a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease.
- Assist people who have misused their voice or older adults managing issues that come with normal ageing.
Victoria Jones uses best practice to assess and treat a variety of communication and swallowing disorders in adults, including aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, voice disorders and dysphagia. Victoria is trained in LSVT (Lee Silverman Voice Therapy) for Parkinson’s patients.
Furthermore, Victoria Jones can work with adults on managing/treating communication and swallowing disorders, utilizing a holistic person-centred approach to goal setting.
